Crafty Pants

Although I may not be the craftiest person in the world I have really enjoyed making things for people especially recently.  This little cutie to the left is Elliott wearing one of my "head bows", really its more like a flower.  The flower portion is made of fabric and the band part is made out of women's pantyhose.  I actually sold some of these at our Church Christmas fair.  It was fun but I enjoy just making them as gifts for my friends cute little ones.  I used to think most bigger bows were way too southern and silly.  But how cute is that!

Obviously no where near as cute as Elliott but I still try and rock it every once and a while.  Normally I can't wear headbands because they give me a headache.  But this one does not.

Another view and color.
This is a bib that I made for a friend at church that is having a little boy hopefully on my Birthday next month!  I used vinyl on the back to prevent with leaking.  It turned out fairly well but I definitely need more practice on my new sewing machine.

I am also working on my third t-shirt quilt.  This one is especially fun because it includes t-shirts from both Jonathan and I.  I kind of taught myself to quilt and I'm probably doing everything wrong but its a lot of fun.  I have done all three by hand including stitching together the squares.  Its a lot of work but I'm hoping to have these quirky quilts around for a long time.

Now I just need to find the time to make more of the things I have found on Pinterest.
