Weekend of Fun

This weekend was so much fun!  We started with Friday night spent at the Rangers vs. Rays game.  I'm not really a baseball kind of gal but it was actually a fun game.  We stayed for the fireworks show after which was really fun.  It was seriously like a 4th of July quality show.
I want to point out that I am wearing a Texas rangers shirt. This was a must from Jonathan point of view.

Thanks to some friends we were recently introduced to an organization called bountiful baskets .  They are a food co-op located in several states.  To receive a basket you sign up online and order a basket.  All baskets contain 50% vegetables, 50% fruit.  You never really know what you are going to be getting in your basket which is really fun for us.  We have not gotten anything yet that we didn't know what it was. We are all about supporting local organizations who provide healthy choices.

This was our basket from this week.  Which includes, bananas, apples, a mini watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, tomatoes, celery, cauliflower, green beans and broccoli.  If you ask me that is a great deal for 15 bucks.  www.bountifulbaskets.org

Saturday morning was spent at Hearts & Hands.  Hearts and Hands is a local ministry that our church supports.  It is essentially a food pantry that services those in need in our community.  It was our week for our YFM group to help out.  My main job of the day was to bag up items that were requested.  It was kind of like playing store when you were little.  It was really a lot of fun.  I can't wait to go again.  We also went to a cookout with some of our friends from church Saturday night.  All in all I think it was a successful weekend!
